Dahilayan The Best Adventure Park In The Philippines

Are you aware that there’s an extremely amazing adventure park in the Philippines? Have you ever been or heard of Dahilayan Adventure Park? If not, then this blog would be your guide there!

The Philippines is truly a beautiful country with beautiful people, Filipinos are known for being hospitable and accommodating. The Philippines is not only the home of the friendliest people in the world but as well as it’s blessed with wonderful scenery and amazing nature.

Manolo Fortich Bukidnon is an hour drive from Cagayan de Oro City, the place is covered with pines trees and green living things. Reaching in Dahilayan you will feel the chilly weather perfect for a weekend getaway.

During my vacation in the Philippines (my home country) from Saudi Arabia. I had the chance to visit and experience this popular tourist destination. Almost everyone that I knew had once visited there including my friends and family members. But being an overseas worker, I never had the chance of exploring it personally.

It’s an unplanned trip though, after all, there’s a maxim that says “the best trips are those unplanned.” It wasn’t really our intention to go there, perhaps we’re out shopping in the mall at that time. After buying some stuff in the mall, I invited my family to probably take me to Dahilayan since I haven’t been there at all.

This is the surrounding view in Dahilayan from afar you can see mountain ranges covered with rain forest.

Of course, they agreed! and got very excited to show me the place. We drove our car from Cagayan de Oro City going to upland in Manolo, Fortich, Bukidnon where Dahilayan is located. Going there by car is around an hour drive depending on the traffic on the road.

Midday when we went there, the sun was up, bright and shining, perfect for an excursion. Going there is a fun adventure itself, upon reaching Bukidnon, you would see beautiful scenery along the road, like the vast pineapple plantation of Del Monte Philippines. And since the place is highland the air is cold and fresh.

Be sure to bring your cameras and video cams when visiting Dahilayan, the place is picturesque perfect for a great shot.

Dahilayan Adventure Park is located uphill in Northern Mindanao Philippines at Barangay Dahilayan, Bukidnon, for which it has gotten its name after its location (Dahilayan). The trip is comfortable since 95% of its road is cemented except for a few meters bumpy and puddled road. More or less you wouldn’t feel it especially if you’re using larger vehicles like pickups or SUVs.

This is the “Drop Zone” one of the various activities you can try on at Dahilayan Adventure Park.

Manolo itself is a haven, most of the people living there are employees and dependents of Del Monte Philippines Inc, Del Monte used to be an American company established almost a century ago. This company sells processed pineapple canned goods worldwide and Bukidnon is the perfect place for pineapple plantation due to its chilly weather.

Are you aware that Dahilayan’s zip line is the longest in Asia? Perhaps you should try this when you get there!

Upon reaching Dahilayan – I was mesmerized by the view and its location. The place is cold with fresh clean air. It was December break and that the park was full of people from all over the Philippines. Hundreds of cars were parked outside, and people kept on arriving even late in the afternoon.

Tourist all over the Philippines are visiting this place, foreigners are also starting to know this hidden treasure in Bukidnon.

A couple of foreigners were also spotted at the place, Dahilayan is indeed a place of solace and serenity. There’re various rides you can try on like the longest zip-line in Asia, drop-off zone, ATV and many more fun activities. Since it’s already afternoon, I decided not to try their rides anymore, but just enjoyed the moment and its view.

Dahilayan is perfect for everyone whether with your friends or family members.

It’s a very family friendly adventure park, kids of all ages would really enjoy their activities. Likewise, for photography enthusiasts as there’re too many wonderful sceneries where you can capture the moment with. They also have a decent restaurant and hospitality services.

There are good walking pathways beneath the thick pines trees, the place is somewhat outside the Philippines.

The place is covered with huge pines trees as if you were somewhere outside the country, at dawn and in the morning the entire park would be foggy and cloudy. Dahilayan is a great place for honeymooners and newlyweds too, wanting adventure and homey experience. It’s a place designed for everybody looking for solace and tranquility, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

How to Reach Dahilayan from Manila?

If you’re traveling from abroad or Manila, Dahilayan could be reached through the following:

    • From Manila, you need to book a domestic flight going to Cagayan de Oro City (Laguindingan airport).
    • From the Laguindingan airport ride a public van which I highly recommend over, riding a taxi, the van is much cheaper and more comfortable. You may choose Magnum Van as they’re more reputable.
    • Reaching in Cagayan de Oro City, you can either book a hotel in CDO or stay in Dahilayan itself as they also offer accommodation services there.

  • If you choose to stay in Cagayan de Oro City, you can reach Dahilayan by the following options below:
    • You can commute by Magnum Van from CDO to Dahilayan, their terminal is at Limketkai Mall. I believe they have trips daily going to Dahilayan vice versa.
    • The second option, you can rent a car and drive by yourself to have more flexibility of your time.
    • Ride a taxi from CDO to Dahilayan; however, expect to pay more by this option and returning back is another issue unless if you commission the driver to wait for you for a couple of hours.

Dahilayan is a must place to visit when you’re in Cagayan de Oro city, a place you would never want to leave, I can’t wait to go back there soon. If you find this blog helpful, please don’t forget to share it with your friends!
